About the Role
This part-time Veterinary Surgeon role with PDSA in Leeds offers variety, clinical challenge and the chance to make a real impact for pets and owners in financial hardship. The position is permanent, with flexible hours available, and the salary is £45,269 to £60,062 including allowances, pro rata.
You’ll be working with a friendly, experienced and caring team in a collaborative hospital environment where case discussion and shared learning are part of everyday practice. The work includes a wide range of medical and surgical cases, with a pragmatic, welfare-focused approach and clear communication at the heart of the role.
The hospital is modern and well equipped, with separate dog and cat kennelling facilities, in-house radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy, piped gases and extensive orthopaedic equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle a varied caseload of medical and surgical cases at PDSA Leeds.
- Make evidence-based clinical decisions and discuss realistic treatment options with clients.
- Create clear treatment plans that balance best practice with each owner’s circumstances.
- Work closely with colleagues across the hospital in a collaborative environment.
- Contribute to case discussion, shared learning and continuous service improvement.
- Help champion PDSA’s mission and encourage client contributions.
