About the Role
You'll be joining a well-established small animal practice that genuinely values its nursing team. This full-time role offers 40 hours per week across four days, with Saturday shifts (4.5 hours) returned as time off in lieu—giving you real flexibility to enjoy the charming seaside town of St Andrews when you're off duty.
Your days will blend hands-on nursing with developing your own clinical expertise. You'll run nurse-led clinics including weight management, vaccination protocols, pet health checks, and nail care while building scope to expand these further. Alongside this, you'll support the vets in theatre and ward nursing, perform diagnostic imaging, and handle the full range of first opinion caseloads. If you have a particular interest in imaging or Schedule 3 procedures, this practice actively wants to nurture that specialism.
St Andrews itself is a vibrant seaside town on Scotland's east coast, famous for golf, its historic university, and medieval charm. You'll be just 30 minutes from Dundee and under two hours from Edinburgh and Glasgow—close enough for city breaks, far enough to enjoy genuine peace when you're home.
