Love animals and enjoy driving? Combine your passion for animal welfare with transport work at the RSPCA, where you'll help get animals safely where they need to be across Greater Manchester.
You'll join the RSPCA's Animal Logistics team as a temporary driver, transporting animals between RSPCA Greater Manchester Hospital, private boarding establishments, branch facilities, and veterinary surgeries. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract offering a standard 35-hour week, Monday to Friday between 09:00 and 17:00, though flexibility is essential to meet the charity's operational needs.
Based from home, you'll be provided with a manual fleet van and will be responsible for its security and biosecurity at the end of each working day. Some days you may finish later to ensure animals reach their destination safely, while other days may start earlier or be shorter. The role involves real responsibility for animal welfare alongside logistics coordination.
The RSPCA is the UK's leading animal welfare charity, protecting all animals from cruelty and neglect. The Greater Manchester Hospital and logistics team coordinate the rescue, care, and rehoming of animals across the region, supporting numerous branches and partner organisations.
The organisation is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace where everyone feels supported. Regular check-ins, team meetings, and colleague support are core to the culture, and the RSPCA encourages applications from underrepresented groups and provides reasonable adjustments throughout the recruitment process.
