Be the welcoming face that transforms a rescue animal's life at the RSPCA Block Fen Animal Centre. This emotionally rewarding reception role offers part-time flexibility (21 hours per week) with a supportive team where your initiative truly matters.
You'll be at the heart of the Block Fen Animal Centre, often the first friendly face a nervous rescue animal meets when their journey to safety begins. This is a fast-paced, emotionally rewarding environment where no two days are the same. The role operates on a manageable 2-week rolling rota (Week 1: Monday and Thursday; Week 2: Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday), giving you a predictable schedule within part-time hours.
You'll work with minimal supervision in a supportive environment where the team trusts colleagues to take ownership of their roles. Your independence, initiative, and willingness to make sound judgments are core to making this centre run smoothly.
The RSPCA Block Fen Animal Centre is part of the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, a leading UK charity dedicated to animal welfare.
