About the Role
You'll be joining Scarsdale Vets as a Clinical Care Coordinator Veterinary Nurse—a dynamic hospital-based role that combines advanced nursing skills with meaningful coordination responsibilities. This full-time position offers the perfect blend of clinical hands-on work and operational oversight, managing the daily flow of inpatient care whilst supporting both first-opinion and referral cases.
Working within a busy, collaborative environment, you'll take on theatre nursing, anaesthesia monitoring, inpatient ward management, and nurse consultations. Your organisational skills and clinical expertise will be central to delivering exceptional patient care from admission through discharge, all whilst supporting the wider clinical team to run smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee daily inpatient workflow, ensuring safe and efficient patient care
- Deliver high-standard nursing care across theatre, wards, and consultation areas
- Support surgical procedures including anaesthesia monitoring and theatre-based nursing
- Manage client communication including patient updates, discharge advice, and aftercare guidance
- Work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and practice team members to maintain standards across all hospital areas
- Support advanced clinical procedures and contribute to continuous quality improvement
Requirements
- Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities, with proven experience coordinating priorities
- Experience or demonstrated strong interest in inpatient care and theatre nursing
- Excellent communication skills with a compassionate, client-focused approach
- Proactive attitude towards learning, reflection, and professional development
- Team player mentality with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary setting
