About the Role
This is your chance to work in a relaxed, first opinion small animal practice that genuinely values your time and wellbeing. You'll enjoy a manageable schedule of 40 hours over four days, with Saturday mornings (8:30am–12:30pm) on a 1:4 rota and absolutely no out-of-hours or on-call duties. The practice is flexible and happy to consider part-time arrangements of 30+ hours per week if that suits you better.
Based in a recently refurbished, modern building in Gillingham town centre, you'll have everything you need at your fingertips: new digital X-ray, ultrasound, flexible endoscopy, capnography, and a full in-house laboratory. The caseload is largely routine and rewarding, giving you the space to build strong client relationships while maintaining regular surgical exposure across two dedicated operating days. You'll work alongside an experienced, hands-on RVN team who run their own clinics and are actively involved in consultations and surgery, plus a dedicated client care team and a certificate holder in physiotherapy.
Some sole charge experience is expected, but you'll be well supported by the team in a genuinely collaborative environment.

About the Practice
Shreen Vets is a well-established, family-orientated small animal practice based in the centre of Gillingham, Dorset. Over 30 years, it has evolved from a traditional mixed animal practice to become fully dedicated to small animals. All vets and facilities are based at a single site, ensuring excellent continuity of care. The practice has built long-term relationships with its clients—many of whom have brought their pets through from first vaccinations as puppies and kittens through to old age.
The practice is part of IVC Evidensia, the UK and Europe's leading veterinary care group comprising over 900 practices and referral hospitals. IVC Evidensia is united by a shared purpose of happier animals and happier owners, with a strong commitment to supporting clinical impact, career opportunities, and wellbeing across the network.
