Southfields Veterinary Surgery
Apply before: Apr 15, 2026
No out-of-hours or on-call commitments. Includes 1 in 4 Saturday mornings (9am–1pm) only.
Southfields Veterinary Surgery is seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon for a senior position within their friendly, RCVS-accredited small animal practice. Based in Cheshire with a loyal client base and reputation for exceptional care, this is a full-time role working 40 hours per week, including one Saturday morning per month (9am–1pm). Importantly, there is no out-of-hours or on-call commitment, making this ideal if you’re looking to protect your personal time.
You’ll join a supportive, inclusive team where wellbeing is genuinely prioritised. The practice operates with 15-minute standard appointments (30 minutes for complex cases) and scheduled admin breaks, giving you breathing room throughout your week. Minimal sole charge work means you’ll have colleagues on hand to collaborate with and discuss cases—quite the contrast to the chaos you may have experienced elsewhere.
Southfields Veterinary Surgery is an established, RCVS-accredited small animal practice serving the Cheshire community. The practice is part of the VetPartners family and holds a 2-Star rating in the Best Companies survey, reflecting its commitment to staff wellbeing and excellent practice standards. The team is genuinely supportive and collaborative, with a strong reputation for exceptional client care and a loyal patient base.
The practice is well-equipped with modern facilities including a fully equipped operating theatre, dental X-ray, ultrasound, and in-house laboratory. As part of VetPartners (recently named Employer of the Year), the practice benefits from a larger supportive network while maintaining its own friendly, inclusive culture where staff genuinely enjoy coming to work.
