1:6 Saturday rota (working 8:15 am – 1:15 pm on rotation basis)

About the Role

You’ll be the first point of contact for clients visiting Sprinz and Nash, a long-established RCVS Accredited Veterinary Hospital nestled in the charming market town of Thame. This part-time position involves working an average of 16.5 hours per week (Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings plus a Saturday rota shift), giving you excellent work-life balance while remaining an integral part of the team.

The practice serves three locations—Thame, Princes Risborough, and Chinnor—with a full range of modern facilities including dental x-ray, ultrasound, endoscopy, digital radiography, and dedicated wards. You’ll work alongside a friendly, forward-thinking team of vets, nurses, and support staff who genuinely enjoy helping each other. The practice handles a varied and busy caseload and holds Silver Cat Friendly Clinic status.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage appointment scheduling and client enquiries with professionalism and care
  • Be the welcoming first point of contact, creating a positive experience at every interaction
  • Support client communications and work closely with clinical and non-clinical colleagues
  • Maintain a smooth practice flow by coordinating between teams
  • Uphold the practice values of being personal, professional, and empathetic
  • Provide flexible cover across the practice’s multiple sites as needed (full UK driving licence required)
  • Participate in a 1-in-6 Saturday rota

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills and a professional, welcoming manner
  • Proven customer-facing experience with strong attention to detail and service orientation
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a busy environment
  • A collaborative, team-oriented approach with willingness to support colleagues
  • Proactive attitude and openness to feedback and learning
  • Full UK driving licence (essential, as role covers multiple sites)
  • Experience working in a veterinary setting is desirable but not essential

About the Practice

Sprinz and Nash is a long-established, RCVS Accredited Veterinary Hospital serving the Thame area with branch surgeries in Princes Risborough and Chinnor. The main hospital is equipped with excellent facilities including dental x-ray, in-house laboratory, endoscopy, ultrasound, digital radiography, separate dog and cat wards, and isolation facilities. The practice is staffed by a friendly, forward-thinking and supportive team, including vets with certificate holdings and two nurse certificate holders. The practice holds Silver Cat Friendly Clinic status.
