About the Role
You'll be delivering high-quality medical and surgical care to small animals at a growing two-site practice that genuinely prioritizes work-life balance. This is a full-time position (up to 40 hours per week) with 1 in 5 Saturdays (negotiable) and no out-of-hours requirements—allowing you to maintain a genuine separation between work and home life. The practice is happy to discuss flexible arrangements like shorter days or later starts to suit your lifestyle.
Your day-to-day work will include consultations, routine neutering, diagnostics, and case management, always building strong client relationships through clear communication and collaborative treatment planning. You'll be supported by dedicated veterinary nurses and support staff who share a genuine commitment to animal welfare.
Located in Cwmbran, a well-connected town in Torfaen, Wales, the practice offers easy access to local amenities and green spaces. Newport is just 10-15 minutes away, with Cardiff within easy reach—giving you the flexibility to enjoy city life, coast, or countryside depending on your preference.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide medical and surgical care for small animals across a two-site practice
- Conduct consultations and develop collaborative treatment plans with pet owners

Requirements
- Qualified veterinary surgeon (MRCVS or equivalent)
- Strong communication skills and commitment to client relationships
