This is a fixed-term Head Equine Nurse opportunity at Sussex Equine Hospital, offered on a part-time basis for an expected 12 months. The role is set around 30 hours per week, with flexibility, and covers shifts across 5 days between 7:30 am and 8 pm.
You’ll be part of a busy equine hospital environment, leading the nursing team and working closely with surgeons, medics, the head groom, the intern team and the clinic receptionist. Weekend shifts are on call, running Friday to Monday.
The role combines clinical leadership with day-to-day operational responsibility, including delegating staff, writing the day board, managing the rota, overseeing equipment and helping ensure patients receive the best possible care.
