A four-day week, no on-call and a cat-only caseload make this a rare opportunity for an experienced vet who wants more focus and a calmer clinical pace. Swansea Cat Clinic is also offering salary up to £65,000, depending on experience and additional qualifications.
No Sundays, bank holidays or on-call responsibilities. OOH care is provided by Vets Now Swansea.
Swansea Cat Clinic is looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join its growing feline-only team. This independent practice is built around calm, cat-friendly care, with 20-minute consultations, a modern purpose-built clinic and a caseload heavily weighted towards internal medicine and chronic feline conditions.
You’ll be joining a close-knit, collaborative team where feline medicine comes first. The role offers a 4-day week for full-time vets, with 1 in 3 Saturday mornings from 9 am to 12 pm. Out-of-hours care is handled by Vets Now Swansea, so there are no Sundays, bank holidays or on-call responsibilities.
Swansea Cat Clinic is an independent feline-only practice founded in 2023. It was established by Veterinary Surgeon Richard Beynon, with RVN Jess Saunders later becoming a partner in the business. The practice has grown from a team of three into a tight-knit clinic with 4 RVNs, soon to be 5, supported by experienced support staff.
The clinic is purpose-built for feline care and includes three consulting rooms, a dedicated theatre and prep area, digital x-ray, high-quality ultrasound, video endoscope and an in-house laboratory. The team also brings a range of interests, including neonatal and paediatric nursing, fostering and hand-rearing orphaned kittens for local rescue charities.
