About the Practice
The Stocks Veterinary Centre has roots reaching back to 1945 when a veterinary practice first opened on New Street in Upton-upon-Severn. The practice relocated in 2009 to the site of a former doctors' surgery on School Lane, and now operates two fully equipped sites: the main surgery in Upton-upon-Severn and a recently refurbished branch at Lower Wick, Worcester. The main surgery features two consulting rooms, a dedicated nurse clinic room, separate dog/cat/isolation kennels, pipped oxygen throughout clinical areas, dedicated prep and theatre facilities, and comprehensive diagnostic equipment. The Lower Wick branch has its own theatre and prep room with in-house laboratory facilities.
The team of five vets brings over 80 years of combined experience, with half the vet team having been with the practice for ten years or longer. Two vets hold certificates in medicine and feline practice. The practice employs seven fully qualified nurses, one ANA, and six support staff members, and operates as a nurse training practice with many student graduates progressing to RVN roles in-house. The Stocks Veterinary Centre is part of IVC Evidensia.
