This is an opportunity for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join The Veterinary Centre Glasgow, a long-established small animal practice with roots in Glasgow's West End. The role offers varied first-opinion work across consultations, surgery and diagnostics, with scope to develop your own interests while contributing to a collaborative practice.
The position is full time, with 40 hours across 4 days. Working hours are between 8:30am and 7:30pm, and you will share a 1 in 5 Saturday rota from 8:30am to 5:30pm. There are no out-of-hours or on-call duties, as emergency cover is provided by Vets Now Glasgow.
The practice is based in the vibrant West End of Glasgow and has recently been refurbished, including a dedicated dental suite with dental radiography.
The Veterinary Centre Glasgow was established in 1945 and is now part of inspiring vet care, having joined the group in 2019. It is a single-site small animal practice with a friendly, supportive and ambitious team of 17 colleagues, including 4 Veterinary Surgeons, 9 Nurses, a Practice Manager and a Head Veterinary Nurse.
The practice treats domestic animals and has particular interest in dental health, rabbits and geriatric medicine. It is recognised by the RCVS as a Veterinary Nurse Training Centre and is approved as a Tier-2 Small Animal Accredited Practice under the RCVS Practice Standards Scheme.
