About the Role

Veterinary Vision is welcoming a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join its expanding team at a newly purpose-built referral centre on Glasgow Road. This is a rare opportunity to work in specialist ophthalmology within a supportive, progressive environment that serves referral cases across Glasgow, Cumbria, the North East, and Bamber Bridge.

Working Monday to Friday in 8-hour shifts with no weekend commitments, you’ll have genuine work-life balance whilst developing expertise in a specialist field. Whether you’re an experienced RVN looking for a fresh challenge or someone keen to build advanced skills in ophthalmology, full training and support will be provided—prior eye experience is not required.

The practice is equipped with state-of-the-art operating facilities and specialises in all types of ocular surgery. You’ll be joining a friendly, caring team where patient wellbeing is the top priority.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support specialist ophthalmology procedures in a state-of-the-art surgical environment
  • Provide high-standard patient care across the referral caseload
  • Collaborate with the dedicated nursing team and veterinary surgeons
  • Contribute to maintaining exceptional standards within the specialist setting
  • Develop and deepen expertise in ophthalmic nursing practice

Requirements

  • Current RCVS Registration as a Veterinary Nurse
  • Commitment to high standards of patient care
  • Enthusiasm and dedication to specialist practice
  • Ability to work within a collaborative team environment
  • No prior ophthalmology experience necessary—training will be provided
