Registered Veterinary Nurse - Phone Triage

About the Role

This is a fully remote position offering genuine flexibility. You can work from anywhere in the UK or abroad (provided you hold a UK RVN qualification), choosing between two team structures. The core team works Monday to Sunday, 32-36 hours per week over a 6-week cycle. Alternatively, the weekend team covers Saturdays, Sundays, and bank holidays with just 8 hours per week on average. All shifts are 4 hours long and can be combined if you prefer longer blocks. You'll be the calm, reassuring voice for worried pet owners, answering calls and emails while coordinating the mobile vet and hospital teams to ensure seamless client care before and after appointments.

Key Responsibilities

• Answer phone calls and emails from pet owners seeking emergency care
• Coordinate activity between mobile vet teams and hospital-based colleagues
• Ensure excellent communication with clients before and after their appointments
• Provide calm, reassuring support to worried pet owners
• Work proactively as part of a supportive remote team

Requirements

• Fully qualified and registered with the RCVS
• At least 2 years of veterinary practice experience
• Reliable PC or laptop capable of running required software
• Broadband internet connection
• Excellent communication skills and ability to think on your feet
• Comfortable learning new software quickly
• Problem-solving mindset and a can-do attitude
• ECC experience or qualifications are desirable but not essential
