Equine Diagnostic Imaging Specialist

About the Role

Rossdales Veterinary Surgeons is offering an opportunity for an ECVDI or ACVR Diploma Holder to join its diagnostic imaging team at a state-of-the-art Equine Hospital and Diagnostic Centre near Newmarket. The hospital welcomes around 3000 horses each year and brings together specialist teams across diagnostic imaging, surgery, internal medicine, sports medicine, dentistry and reproduction.

You will be working alongside senior clinicians, veterinary assistants, experienced interns, veterinary technicians, nurses and radiographers. The diagnostic centre includes computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, nuclear scintigraphy, digital radiography and ultrasound, plus a large lameness work-up area, an all-weather arena and lunging areas.

Full-time and part-time applicants will be considered, and the role includes contribution to the out of hours on-call service. Other hours, including Bank Holidays, may be required in line with practice needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialist input within the diagnostic imaging team at Rossdales Veterinary Surgeons.
• Work as part of a wider equine hospital team that includes senior clinicians and clinical support staff.
• Contribute to the out of hours on-call service.
• Support the practice as needed during other hours, including Bank Holidays.

Requirements

• ECVDI or ACVR Diploma Holder.
• Eligible for registration with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
• Veterinary surgeons currently working overseas may apply, provided they are eligible to complete RCVS registration at the time of interview.
