Shared out of hours, currently 1:6
This full-time Farm Veterinary Surgeon position is based at Farm Vets SouthWest in North Petherton, Somerset. The role would suit a skilled farm vet who is ready to take the next step, with a caseload centred on dairy work in a dairy-rich part of Somerset and Devon.
You will be working with progressive dairy farmers and an experienced team that enjoys working together to provide a strong service. The rota includes shared out of hours provision, currently 1:6, and the practice is open to flexible working.
The role also offers the chance to work with vet techs and ATT colleagues so you can focus on clinical work, while also getting involved in discussion groups or farmer training.
Farm Vets SouthWest is a farm animal only veterinary practice covering Somerset and East Devon. The practice describes itself as combining traditional service values with a modern approach, and says its team includes experienced farm vets with expertise in the dairy sector.
It is part of VetPartners, which is highlighted in the advert as a wider network offering CPD, training and support. The practice also references its location around Taunton in Somerset, between the Quantock and Blackdown hills and within easy access of the Jurassic Coast.
