Seeking an experienced equine vet for temporary cover with genuine work-life balance: one week on, one week off. Join a supportive team with excellent facilities and funded CPD.
1 week on, 1 week off rota. Monday to Thursday 4.30pm to 8.30am; Friday 4.30pm to Monday 8.30am; bank holidays included. Approximately 50% of first-call rota, with backup second on-call vet always available.
This is a temporary fixed-term opportunity to provide out-of-hours cover for Fellowes Farm Equine Clinic, initially for three months with the possibility of extension. You would take on approximately 50% of the first-call out-of-hours rota in a week-on-week-off pattern, always backed up by a second on-call vet. For someone seeking genuine work-life balance, this role delivers it: work your week, then have a full week off to rest and pursue your interests.
Although based in out-of-hours, you will integrate with the practice team and benefit from the support of fellow vets with broad clinical interests and multiple RCVS certificate holders. There may also be opportunities to earn extra income through locum cover during clinic hours if you wish.
