Join a modern, busy practice in Maidstone with no out-of-hours and minimal sole charge. This is a role for an experienced Vet who wants to shape a growing practice while keeping a strong work-life balance.
No out-of-hours responsibility.
Maidstone Vets for Pets is looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to help shape a modern, busy practice with exciting plans for growth. The role suits a forward-thinking vet who wants to bring ideas to life and be part of a practice that values development as well as day-to-day clinical work.
You’ll be working across a varied caseload that includes routine surgery, soft tissue procedures and some basic orthopaedics. The practice offers a collaborative setting, with a friendly clinical team and supportive non-clinical colleagues, plus the chance to work alongside vets with certificate-level interests in medicine and surgery.
This position is open to full or part-time working, with up to 40 hours per week including paid lunches and weekends. There is a 1 in 3 weekend rota on a fair basis, although this can be discussed for the right candidate. There is minimal sole charge and no out-of-hours responsibility.
Maidstone Vets for Pets is a standalone practice in the riverside town of Maidstone. The practice is described as modern and well equipped, with digital X-ray and ultrasound already in place, and an openness to investing in additional specialist equipment where it benefits the team and the practice.
The team includes talented and friendly clinical staff, a supportive non-clinical team, and colleagues who have remained with the practice for 13 to 20 years. The CCA team is also working towards BVRA accreditation, and two vets already hold certificates in medicine and surgery. The practice is part of Vets for Pets.
