About the Role

This is a genuine practice ownership opportunity with Vets for Pets, where you’ll lead a brand-new small animal practice within the Bradley Stoke Pets at Home store. You’ll have complete clinical and operational autonomy – deciding on your team, services, and clinical standards – whilst benefiting from robust corporate support on the non-clinical side (property, finance, HR, marketing, systems). Bradley Stoke is a growing community with a strong pet-owning population, giving you a ready-made client base from day one. The integrated Pets at Home setting means access to thousands of engaged pet owners weekly, combined with the UK’s most trusted pet care brand recognition (YouGov).

Your role combines entrepreneurial independence with institutional backing. You’ll establish and grow the practice vision from day one, with a two-year loan repayment holiday to focus on building momentum. Once loans are repaid, you’ll enjoy 100% profit twice-annual dividends – the direct reward for your hard work and investment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead clinical operations and set the standard of care within your practice
• Build and manage your own veterinary team (vets, RVNs, support staff)
• Establish practice protocols, procedures, and clinical governance
• Drive business growth and client acquisition within the Bradley Stoke community
• Develop your own service offerings and specialisms
• Manage day-to-day practice operations and staff performance
• Work alongside the Vets for Pets network for shared learning and best practice

Requirements

• Qualified veterinary surgeon with current RCVS registration
• Proven clinical experience in small animal practice
• Business acumen or willingness to develop entrepreneurial skills
• Team leadership and people management experience
• Personal investment of £20,000 (with flexible payment approach available)
• Vision and drive to establish and grow a thriving practice
• Ability to work independently whilst engaging with the broader Vets for Pets network

The Bradley Stoke practice is a brand-new, world-class small animal facility housed within Pets at Home. It launches with full clinical facilities including three consultation rooms, X-ray capabilities, operating theatre, in-house pharmacy and laboratory, preparation area, separate cat and dog wards, an isolation ward, and dedicated cat and dog waiting areas.
