About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to become a practice owner with Vets for Pets' flexible ownership model designed to make veterinary business ownership achievable. You'll lead a brand-new small animal practice in Carmarthen, a vibrant market town in West Wales, surrounded by beautiful countryside and coastal access, with excellent transport links to Swansea. Rather than being constrained by corporate direction, you'll have clinical and operational autonomy to shape your clinical journey, client relationships, and team culture. This is a full-time, permanent role where you'll take a salary from day one whilst building practice profits and long-term asset value.

The practice will be located within an existing Pet Care Centre, positioning you to tap into a ready stream of new pet owners and potential clients. You'll benefit from a fully equipped facility including three consult rooms, prep area and theatre, X-ray, pharmacy, laboratory, separate cat and dog wards, isolation ward, office, and branded reception area. The practice could be operational within 6 to 12 months.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the clinical and operational management of your own practice
• Define clinical protocols, treatment decisions, and surgical approaches without corporate constraint
• Build and manage your team culture and client relationships
• Work with Vets for Pets' support teams to establish your practice within the local community
• Drive business growth and profitability
• Manage finances, recruitment, payroll, marketing, IT, and HR with dedicated support from Vets for Pets

Requirements

• Qualified veterinary professional (MRCVS)
• Experienced in veterinary practice and clinical decision-making
• Business acumen and entrepreneurial drive
• Commitment to building a thriving small animal practice
