About the Role

This is a rare opportunity to establish yourself as a practice owner with Vets for Pets' unique ownership model. You'll be opening a brand-new, state-of-the-art practice in Macclesfield, a thriving market town on the edge of the Peak District. The practice benefits from excellent transport links to Manchester and sits within an existing Pet Care Centre alongside a busy business park, positioning you perfectly to attract new clients and build a loyal community base.

You'll have genuine clinical and operational autonomy to define your clinical protocols, client relationships, and team culture. This is truly your practice, driven by your vision and ambition. The 1,400 sq ft space will feature three consult rooms, prep area and theatre, X-ray, pharmacy, laboratory, separate cat and dog wards, isolation ward, office, and fully branded reception area, with the practice operational within 6 to 12 months.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and manage day-to-day clinical and operational decisions at your practice
• Build and lead your team, defining your own practice culture and values
• Manage client relationships and clinical protocols according to your professional standards
• Drive business growth and develop your client base within the Macclesfield community
• Work with Vets for Pets' support teams on recruitment, finances, payroll, IT, marketing, and HR
• Take full responsibility for the strategic direction and commercial success of your practice

Requirements

• Qualified veterinary surgeon (MRCVS) with experience in small animal practice
• Ambitious, entrepreneurial mindset with desire to own and operate your own practice
• Strong clinical knowledge and ability to lead a veterinary team
• Business acumen and willingness to manage the commercial aspects of practice ownership

About the Practice

Vets for Pets is opening a brand-new small animal practice in Macclesfield. The practice is located within Lyme Green Business Park, alongside an existing Pet Care Centre, creating an accessible, visible location with a natural stream of potential clients. This greenfield opportunity allows you to design and build the practice exactly as you envision it.

Vets for Pets' ownership model is built on partnership. You receive expert guidance, brand recognition, and financial support from day one. In return, they receive a revenue share based on net turnover (not profit) on a sliding scale, ensuring your business remains profitable.
