Veterinary Receptionist

About the Role

You will be the first friendly point of contact for clients and their pets, helping to link the front of house experience with the clinical team. The role suits someone who enjoys providing a high level of service, staying organised and keeping things moving smoothly throughout the day.

This is a full-time position of 40 hours per week. Weekend work is included on a rota basis, with Saturday shifts from 9am to 5pm and Sunday shifts from 10am to 4pm. The practice is based at Racecourse Retail Park inside the Pets at Home store, with ample parking and access to local amenities.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome clients and their pets when they arrive at the practice.
• Provide guidance, support and clear communication to clients.
• Manage payments and future bookings confidently.
• Use the online booking system to help keep the day running smoothly.
• Work closely with the clinical team and help maintain strong client relationships.
• Manage the practice social media platforms by creating and posting content.

Requirements

• Previous receptionist experience.
• Confident use of computers and online booking systems.
• Organised, compassionate and comfortable in a busy environment.
• Energetic, positive and creative approach.
• A genuine love of animals and people.
• Ability to work well in a pressure, customer-facing setting.
