A small animal vet role with 30 minute consultations, no weekend rota and no out of hours. You will also join a practice that has invested in recent renovations and spacious facilities.
No weekend rota and no out of hours requirement.
This Veterinary Surgeon role is based at Newport Vets for Pets and centres on sustainable clinical work, with 30 minute consultations and plenty of admin time built into the diary. The practice is also offering no weekend rota and no out of hours, which helps create a more balanced working pattern.
You can be considered for either full or part time hours, with part time set around 2 days a week on Monday and Wednesday from 8:30am to 7pm. Full time hours are 40 per week, and the role offers a mix of surgery and medicine within a steady GP practice.
The opportunity comes with a supportive team, recent renovations and a well developed workspace, plus a diverse caseload and loyal client base in Newport.
Newport Vets for Pets is a standalone, purpose built practice that has been built up and developed over the last 18 years. It is part of Vets for Pets and has recently undergone renovations to enhance its already spacious facilities.
The team includes 5 vets, 3 RVNs, 1 VCA and 6 receptionists, with support from Cath and Paul, the practice owners. Cath is GDP certified and an experienced surgical trainer, while the nursing team is led by Head Nurse Michelle, who holds a certificate in anaesthesia and critical care and has worked in several referral centres. The practice also has an imaging focused assistant running a scanning clinic every Wednesday.
