Veterinary Surgeon

About the Role

This is a full time Veterinary Surgeon opportunity in a busy small animal surgery in Romford. You will be joining an established team of 13 vets, 12 RVNs, 10 Student Nurses and 10 Receptionists, with a caseload that covers a wide range of clinical work.

The practice is purpose built to industry leading standards and has state of the art equipment including two dedicated operating theatres, ultrasound, an in house laboratory, digital radiographs, full endoscopy and CT. The location also offers free on site parking, transport links into central London in 25 minutes, the Essex countryside in 20 minutes, and access to both City and Southend Airport.

The rota is split across four weekdays, with 1 in 6 full weekends and 1 in 6 Saturdays only. Part time hours will also be considered for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

• Work as an additional Veterinary Surgeon within an established small animal team.
• Handle a varied caseload, including routine surgical procedures.
• Use strong diagnostic and medicinal skills across day to day clinical work.
• Support clients in consults and deliver strong customer service.
• Be confident with occasional sole charge when required.
• Contribute to a practice that is continuing to invest in its services and equipment.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience.
• Existing UK experience.
• Confidence with occasional sole charge.
• Competence with routine surgical procedures.
• Good diagnostic and medicinal skills.
• Significant internal medicine experience.
• Excellent people skills and a flexible approach.
