1:4 weekends, no OOH
This is a chance to join a growing small animal clinic in Southport, with over 6,000 clients and a location right by the plaza and beachfront. The role is aimed at experienced vets who want to develop their academic special interests, with full-time hours at 40 per week or part-time considered for the right candidate.
The rota includes 1:4 weekends and no OOH, helping create a steadier work-life balance. The team is looking for someone with good general surgical and medical skills, confidence with sole charge, and the ability to bring new ideas and ambition to a practice that is continuing to grow.
Southport Vets for Pets opened in February 2017 and is described as a bright, spacious, air-conditioned, purpose-built surgery with state-of-the-art equipment. The practice reports a good variety of cases and a steady flow of new clients.
It is independently run by Christine and Robyn, supported by a team of 3 vets, 4 registered veterinary nurses, 2 student nurses, 2 veterinary care assistants, a practice manager and 4 client care advisors. The advert also describes a supportive, inclusive and non-judgemental working environment with a strong team ethos.
