Part Time Veterinary Receptionist

About the Role

This part time Veterinary Receptionist position sits within Vets Now Worcester and is focused on being the first point of contact for clients during emergency situations. The contract is fixed term for 9 months from December 2026, and the role is paid at £13.45 per hour plus benefits.

The working pattern is clearly structured. Week 1, Week 2 and Week 3 are Monday and Thursday from 19:00 to 00:00. Week 4 is Monday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 19:00 to 00:00, plus a fair share of bank holidays.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet clients in person and answer incoming calls as the first point of contact.
• Book appointments and handle financial transactions.
• Carry out administrative duties accurately to help the clinic run smoothly.
• Pass updates to veterinary staff about patients en route or clients who need assistance.
• Support and reassure clients, acting as a link between clients and veterinary professionals.

Requirements

• Good client communication and front desk skills are central to the role.
• You should be comfortable supporting people in emergency situations.
• Strong administrative accuracy and the ability to manage multiple tasks are important.
