Registered Veterinary Nurse

About the Role

This Saturday Veterinary Nurse role in Bath is built around emergency and critical care work, with shifts every other Saturday from 19:00 to 09:00, plus a fair share of bank holidays. It is suited to an RVN who wants to grow ECC knowledge while keeping the rest of the week available for other commitments.

You'll be part of a nursing team that sits at the centre of clinical treatment, supporting triage, surgery, anaesthesia and in-patient care. The role also offers the chance to handle first aid, critical care and diagnostics, including work in a sole charge capacity.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide first aid advice over the phone and in clinic.
• Support critical care through monitoring major body systems and in-patient trends.
• Spot changes quickly and help guide timely clinical response.
• Carry out physiotherapy, pain assessment, wound care and dressing care.
• Perform basic diagnostic procedures in a sole charge capacity.
• Work across triage, surgery, anaesthesia and in-patient care as part of the nursing team.

Requirements

• RCVS registration for at least six months.
• A motivated approach to maintaining high clinic standards.
• Genuine care for clients and their pets.
• ECC caseload experience is advantageous.
