Registered Veterinary Nurse

About the Role

This part-time RVN opportunity is based in Bradford within an RCVS accredited Small Animal Emergency Service Clinic. The clinic handles emergency and critical care cases without an appointment, so you'll be part of a team delivering time-sensitive support when pets need it most.

The rota includes 3 night shifts per month from 18:00 to 09:00, 1:4 Sundays from 09:00 to 18:00, plus a fair share of bank holidays. The nursing team sits at the heart of clinical treatment, with responsibility across triage, surgery, anaesthesia and in-patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Give first aid advice over the phone and provide first aid in clinic.
• Support critical care through monitoring major body systems and in-patient trends.
• Spot clinical changes quickly and contribute to physiotherapy, pain assessment, wound care and dressing care.
• Carry out basic diagnostic procedures in a sole charge capacity.
• Work within a nursing team that supports triage, surgery, anaesthesia and in-patient care.

Requirements

• RCVS registered for at least six months.
• Motivation to maintain high clinic standards.
• A genuine commitment to caring for clients and their pets.
• Experience with an ECC caseload is advantageous.
