This part-time Veterinary Surgeon position is based at Vets Now Gillingham and focuses on twilight and backshift work in emergency and critical care. The rota runs every other week and typically includes Monday to Friday 19:00 to 00:00, Saturday 16:00 to 00:00 and Sunday 14:00 to 22:00, plus a fair share of bank holidays.
The weekend pattern is described as flexible, with the option for shorter Saturday shifts, later Sunday starts, or a structure of Monday to Friday in week 1 and Saturday and Sunday in week 2. You will often work as the second vet on shift, which creates space to share knowledge and tackle more complex cases together.
