Weekend Veterinary Nurse

About the Role

This weekend Veterinary Nurse position is based in Barnet and is built around every other weekend working, with Saturday from 12:00 to 19:30 and Sunday from 08:30 to 19:30. A fair share of bank holidays is also included.

The role offers the chance to develop ECC knowledge while fitting around family commitments or a second income. You will be part of the nursing team at the core of clinical treatment, supporting triage, surgery, anaesthesia and in-patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide first aid advice over the phone and deliver first aid in clinic when needed.
• Support critical care through monitoring major body systems and in-patient trends.
• Identify changes quickly and contribute to physiotherapy, pain assessment, wound care and dressing care.
• Carry out basic diagnostic procedures with confidence in a sole charge capacity.

Requirements

• RCVS registered for a minimum of six months.
• Motivated to maintain high clinic standards.
• Passionate about caring for clients and their pets.
• Experience with an ECC caseload is advantageous.
