This full-time registered veterinary nurse position is based at Vets Now’s Wolverhampton emergency clinic, where you’ll be part of a dedicated team providing 24/7 pet emergency care. You’ll work a rotating shift pattern across nights, weekends, and Sunday cover—essential OOH work, but shared fairly across the team with built-in flexibility if life circumstances change.
The nursing team sits at the core of clinical treatment here. You’ll move fluidly between triage and first aid, critical care monitoring, diagnostics, and in-patient management. This is hands-on, meaningful work where your assessment skills and clinical judgment directly impact outcomes for acutely unwell pets.
Vets Now is the UK’s leading emergency pet care provider, operating over 60 dedicated out-of-hours clinics plus two 24/7 pet emergency hospitals serving more than 1,700 veterinary practices nationwide. The Wolverhampton clinic specialises in after-hours emergency care, providing support when pets and their families need it most—nights, weekends, 24 hours on Sundays and bank holidays.
The nursing team is central to the clinic’s operation, collaborating closely on complex cases and sharing responsibility for emergency and critical care. Vets Now invests in staff development through its ECC certificate programme and industry-leading CPD support, with a culture that genuinely values flexibility and work-life balance.
