Ready to lead a nursing team that genuinely values you? Join Vets4Pets in Irvine as Head RVN where work-life balance, professional development, and a supportive culture aren't just promises, they're lived daily.
1:4 Saturday rota, no overnight on-call or OOH required
This is a leadership opportunity for an experienced RVN ready to take the next step in their career. You'll head up the nursing team at the Irvine practice, leading consults, managing anaesthetics, and delivering exceptional in-patient care. With a 1:4 Saturday rota and no overnight on-call, you'll maintain a healthy work-life balance while enjoying flexible working options between 30 and 40 hours per week.
You'll be part of a 60-strong multi-practice team across three Ayrshire locations, working alongside colleagues with specialist training in acupuncture, pain management, behaviour, and Schedule 3 surgical procedures. The practice is genuinely committed to listening to its nurses. Modern equipment including multiparameter monitors, fluid pumps, BP monitors, and ultrasound means you have the tools to deliver the clinical care you're passionate about.
Vets4Pets operates three practices across Ayrshire, led by four partners including two vets, one RVN, and a practice manager. This inclusive leadership structure ensures every role has a voice in decision-making. The 60-strong team includes 14 vets, 12 RVNs, 2 VCAs, 3 GPD-trained Clinical Lead Vets, and 3 Clinical Coach RVNs, creating a supportive multi-disciplinary environment.
The practice is built on values of mutual respect, work-life balance, and continuous professional development. Leadership is genuinely committed to tailoring rotas and benefits to individual colleagues, recognising that what works for one person may not suit another. The team prioritises open communication, supports one another across all three locations, and invests in staying ahead of clinical developments.
