A 4 day week, 1 in 8 weekends, and no routine nights or on-call make this RVN role a strong fit for sustainable clinical work. Wallace Veterinary Centres also supports nurses who want real scope to develop across its three branches.
No routine nights or on-call. Occasional night shifts are available as an option.
This is an RVN role with real clinical variety and a rota designed around work life balance. The standard pattern is a 4 day week of 36 hours, with options for 3 or 5 days, plus 1 in 8 weekends covering Saturday and Sunday.
You will be hands on every day, supporting inpatient care, diagnostics, radiography, dental procedures, client education and clinical decision making. Nurses are encouraged to use Schedule 3 freedom, including minor surgery, and to build on interests such as consulting, ECC, surgical nursing, behaviour and nutrition.
The role is open to experienced nurses, newly qualified RVNs, and those who are soon to qualify and waiting on OSCEs. Occasional night shifts may be available for anyone who wants additional emergency work, but there are no routine nights or on-call duties.
