About the Role

This is a position where you'll work as a valued clinical professional, not support staff. You'll have the opportunity to carry out the full range of Schedule 3 procedures including minor surgeries, administering medical treatments, placing IVs, managing anaesthesia, and leading nurse-led clinics such as second vaccinations, diabetic clinics, parasite control, and post-operative checks.

Based in Dundee and Angus, Wallace Vets offers flexible contract options to suit your lifestyle: a standard four-day week, or three or five-day patterns if you prefer. With a balanced 1-in-8 weekend rota and a dedicated in-house night team providing 24/7 emergency care, you'll enjoy uninterrupted sleep without emergency call-outs.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform Schedule 3 nursing procedures including minor surgeries, IV placement, and anaesthesia management
• Lead nurse-led consultations and clinics including vaccination, diabetic management, parasite control, and post-operative care
• Support inpatient care, diagnostics, radiography, and dental procedures
• Contribute to clinical decision-making and client education
• Mentor student nurses and contribute to protocol development
• Pursue further professional training in areas such as ECC, surgical nursing, or consulting

Requirements

• Current RVN registration with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons
