About the Role
Wellpets is a thriving group of three small animal practices across North Kent, and they're looking for an enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Nurse to join the Sittingbourne team on a permanent basis. This is a 40-hour week role spread over 4–5 days, with 1 in 4 Saturday shifts—designed around your lifestyle, not against it. You'll work alongside three experienced vets, fellow RVNs, and dedicated support staff in a practice equipped with digital X-rays, dental imaging, ultrasound, and an in-house lab.
The practice is nestled in North Kent with easy train access to London, award-winning beaches, and the scenic Elmley Nature Reserve. Flexibility is genuinely offered here: whether you need to balance school holidays, manage school runs, or simply strike a better work-life balance, the team will work with you to make the rota fit.
You'll be encouraged to use your full skillset—conducting nurse clinics, advising clients on pet health and welfare, and supporting the veterinary team across the practice's three sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct nurse-led clinics and provide client advice on pet health and welfare
- Support the three-vet team across three practice locations
- Utilise your clinical knowledge in medicine, orthopaedic surgery, ultrasound, and cardiac ultrasound work
- Deliver high-standard small animal nursing care in routine and surgical cases
- Contribute to a collaborative, close-knit team environment
Requirements
- Current RCVS registration as a Veterinary Nurse
- Ideally, RVN Clinical Coach qualification or equivalent experience
- Passion for small animal health and welfare
- Positive, can-do attitude and commitment to team collaboration
