About the Role

This is a full-time position working 37.5 hours per week at White Cross Vets’ Eccleshill practice in Bradford. The role includes Saturday rota work on a time-off-in-lieu basis, with no out-of-hours requirements—a real bonus for work-life balance. You’ll be joining a compact but thriving team of three veterinary surgeons, three other RVNs, a student nurse, and two veterinary care coordinators.

Located in a bustling area with excellent public transport access (bus stop right outside), the practice is surrounded by local amenities including cafés and shops perfect for lunch breaks. The Eccleshill team is actively pursuing ISFM Cat Friendly Clinic status and has invested in modern diagnostic equipment including dental and main x-ray machines, a new ultrasound unit, and in-house laboratory facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care across a small animal caseload in a supportive team environment
  • Contribute to the practice’s Cat Friendly Clinic initiative and ongoing quality improvement programmes
  • Support preventative health protocols and infection control standards
  • Collaborate with the wider team including one nurse with schedule three qualifications and dental CPD experience
  • Participate in Saturday rota duties with TOIL compensation

Requirements

  • Current RVN registration with the RCVS
  • Experience working in small animal practice
  • Team-focused approach with strong communication skills
