About the Role

This is a part-time position offering up to 32 hours per week with a share of Saturday mornings (time given back in lieu) and crucially, no out-of-hours commitments. You’ll be providing high-quality clinical care to small animal patients whilst building strong client relationships and contributing to an efficient, well-organised clinic environment.

Based at White Cross Vets’ Hyde practice in Cheshire, you’ll work alongside a large, collaborative 6-vet team with varied interests and expertise. The practice has strong links with nearby Walkden and Sale clinics, giving you access to additional support and specialist services when needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-standard clinical care across general small animal medicine and soft tissue surgery
  • Provide excellent client communication and service
  • Contribute to maintaining efficient clinic operations and protocols
  • Engage with the practice’s collaborative approach to case management
  • Support team culture and knowledge-sharing within the wider group structure

Requirements

  • Qualified veterinary surgeon (RCVS registered)
  • Enthusiasm for small animal medicine and willingness to develop skills
  • Commitment to high-quality patient and client care

About the Practice

White Cross Vets operates 23 modern veterinary practices across the North and Midlands of England and is recognised as one of the UK’s fastest-growing veterinary groups. The Hyde practice is part of IVC Evidensia (Mars Veterinary Health).

The Hyde surgery houses a large, enthusiastic team and boasts excellent facilities: 4 consultation rooms, dedicated cat and dog wards, full operating theatre, digital and dental x-ray, ultrasound, and access to endoscopy. The team includes a medical certificate holder, a vet working towards ophthalmology certification, and a diplomate in anaesthesia. Visiting specialists provide orthopaedic and advanced diagnostic imaging services.
