Yan Farm Health is seeking a veterinary surgeon to join their small, supportive team working across South Cumbria, North Lancashire, and North Yorkshire. This is a full-time position on a four-day working week with an equal share of the on-call rota, ensuring genuine work-life balance. You'll work closely with progressive commercial farmers, managing a smaller caseload per vet to build long-term client relationships and deliver exceptional care.
Daily work is mainly pre-booked with routine TB testing and quiet out-of-hours cover, meaning you'll have predictable scheduling and manageable after-hours responsibilities. The practice is fully equipped with modern facilities including ultrasound scanning, laptop-based data analysis, dynamic parlour testing equipment, and in-house laboratory capabilities.
Based on the edge of the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales National Parks, the location offers outstanding opportunities for outdoor pursuits with easy access to major cities by road and rail.
