About the Role
You'll be joining Abington Park Vets as a Registered Veterinary Nurse within their specialist surgical referral team. This is a full-time position (40 hours across 5 days, 7:30am–7:00pm shifts) with a straightforward 1-in-8 Saturday morning rota—and importantly, no out-of-hours or bank holiday requirements, giving you genuine time to recharge.
Based across Moulton and Abington sites, you'll work in a well-equipped modern referral hospital featuring CT, MRI, and a fully equipped in-house laboratory. Your focus will be on theatre and surgical support: anaesthesia monitoring, surgical preparation, scrubbing in for complex procedures, and ensuring patient safety throughout. The caseload is busy and varied—expect complex orthopaedic and soft tissue work—making this an ideal environment for nurses eager to develop and refine surgical and anaesthetic nursing skills.
The role is dynamic and collaborative, sitting within a multidisciplinary team of experienced surgeons and wider clinical staff. You'll take real responsibility for perioperative and inpatient care while contributing to the ongoing development of patient care standards within the hospital.
