About the Role

Victoria Animal Hospital is recruiting a dedicated Veterinary Nurse to join its daytime nursing team in Victoria, London. This is a permanent position offering stable, predictable shift patterns with no out-of-hours commitments—ideal if you’re seeking work-life balance alongside meaningful clinical work.

You’ll be working as part of an established nursing team, reporting to the Nurse Manager and supporting the veterinary surgeons across a range of small animal cases. The role offers the chance to develop your nursing skills in a busy, well-equipped practice with a strong emphasis on animal welfare and quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing support to veterinary surgeons during consultations, procedures, and surgery
• Perform patient assessments, monitoring, and post-operative care under veterinary direction
• Maintain and sterilise surgical equipment and instruments to the highest standards
• Manage patient records and contribute to clinical administration
• Support the wider nursing team in maintaining a clean, organised hospital environment
• Engage compassionately with pet owners, providing aftercare advice and reassurance
• Contribute to the practice’s commitment to animal welfare and quality care standards

Requirements

• Current RCVS registration as a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN)
• Demonstrable experience in small animal nursing practice
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient care
• Ability to work collaboratively within a nursing and veterinary team
• Compassionate approach to animal welfare and owner communication
