This part-time night veterinary surgeon role is based at Coastway Veterinary Group's RCVS accredited Brighton Veterinary Hospital. The rota is 4 on, 20 off, with shifts from 7pm to 9am, and there is also the opportunity to pick up additional holiday cover shifts.
You’ll be part of the growing medicine and emergency team, with sole charge during the night and full ward handover in place to support clear communication. The team includes a highly experienced Night Nurse and Animal Nursing Assistant, while the day team is fully resourced to manage routine cases.
The role also involves the care of exotic inpatients overnight, and the hospital has a broad clinical mix with referral services in orthopaedics, ophthalmology, advanced imaging and exotics.
Coastway Veterinary Group has been providing care to the region’s pets for 45 years. The Brighton hospital is RCVS accredited and purpose-built, with 8 consulting rooms, dedicated cat, dog, exotic, isolation and day procedure wards, three theatres, prep areas, CT, a dental suite and a full in-house lab with a dedicated lab technician.
The group also has 5 fully equipped branch practices and provides OOH cover for multiple other practices in the Brighton area. The hospital team includes two dedicated hospital vets during the day, and the wider team has multiple certificate holders with a range of clinical interests and expertise.
