Clinical Director

About the Role

Creature Comforts is opening a brand new clinic in Ruislip and is seeking a Clinical Director to help shape it from the very beginning. The role offers real autonomy within a purpose-built, beautifully designed environment, while still being supported by the wider Creature Comforts leadership team.

You will spend around 80% of your time clinically and take responsibility for overall clinic performance across clinical, financial and people areas. The position also includes direct line management of the vet team, Head Nurse and Practice Manager, alongside a strong focus on membership, client experience and local community presence.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead clinical delivery and spend 80% of your time in clinical work.
• Set and maintain high clinical standards through leadership, governance and team engagement.
• Direct education, CPD, clinical audits and evidence-based practice within the team.
• Oversee clinic strategy locally, including HR, recruitment, health and safety, marketing and client care.
• Drive membership and client acquisition, working with the membership manager to achieve targets.
• Manage budget planning, financial performance, KPIs and pricing processes.
• Line manage, support and develop the Practice Manager, Head Nurse and vet team.
• Promote wellbeing, inclusion and an open culture across the practice.
• Represent Creature Comforts within the veterinary industry and local community.

Requirements

• You are an experienced veterinary surgeon and leader.
• You can provide excellent veterinary leadership and lead by example.
• You are passionate about the aims and model of Creature Comforts.
• You can support clinical, financial and people-focused decision making.
• You can manage teams, run regular one-to-ones and hold structured team meetings.
