Head Registered Veterinary Nurse

About the Role

This is a Head Nurse opportunity in a brand new clinic in Ruislip, where you'll lead the nursing team and help shape how the practice delivers care from day one. The role calls for an experienced veterinary nurse who can step into leadership, support a positive working environment, and help integrate bespoke technology into daily clinical work.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and manage the nursing team.
• Oversee daily clinic operations and support best practice and protocols.
• Work with veterinarians and other staff to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Ensure medical equipment and technology are used and maintained properly.
• Monitor stock levels for medical supplies and medications.
• Promote a positive and collaborative working environment.
• Take part in continuing education and training opportunities.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a head nurse in a veterinary setting, or substantial RVN experience with the capability to step into a Head Nurse role.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Good knowledge of veterinary nursing practices and procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work with bespoke veterinary technology.
• Commitment to high quality patient care.
• Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.
