About the Role

Creature Comforts is building the vet group of the future, and they need a Weekend Veterinary Surgeon to help bring it to life. This is a permanent, salaried position, not a locum gig dressed up as a job title. You'll work weekends across beautifully designed clinics powered by purpose-built technology, collaborating with teams who genuinely want to be there.

You'll bring stability and confidence to weekend shifts, reading the room and delivering consistency across different sites. Your role blends clinical excellence with client communication, ensuring every pet owner feels calm, informed, and respected.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform surgical operations and procedures with precision and care
• Diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions in small animals
• Provide compassionate and informative consultations, building genuine relationships with clients and their pets
• Make confident clinical decisions independently while knowing when to seek advice
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
• Communicate clearly on estimates, informed consent, treatment plans, and follow-up care
• Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities
• Adapt seamlessly across different Creature Comforts sites and teams

Requirements

• RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon with solid first-opinion experience
• Confident, empathetic communicator who makes clients feel calm, informed, and respected
• Comfortable making clinical decisions independently while knowing when to escalate
• Adaptable and happy working across different sites and teams
• Naturally collaborative, lifting the team up especially on busy days
• Curious about better ways of working
