Night Registered Veterinary Nurse

About the Role

You'll be part of a friendly, welcoming and supportive team at PetMedics, an RCVS accredited 24-hour small animal veterinary hospital and advanced clinical services centre in Manchester. This night-shift position offers full-time or part-time hours, and you'll work within a large, modern practice staffed by 37 veterinary surgeons, 41 nurses, and comprehensive support teams. No two days will be the same as you contribute to all aspects of general practice and referral nursing.

The practice is exceptionally well-equipped with 4 theatres, 6 consulting rooms, intensive care and isolation wards, separate cat and dog wards, exotics ward, digital X-ray, CT scanner, ultrasound scanners, endoscopy, laparoscopy, mechanical ventilation, and an extensive in-house laboratory. Gold Cat Friendly and Silver Rabbit Friendly accreditation speaks to the high standards of care here.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional patient care and support nursing care across all clinical areas
• Monitor patients' health and support their recovery during night shifts
• Offer reassurance to clients and their pets
• Maintain quality standards and contribute to excellent practice conditions
• Work collaboratively within the large nursing team to ensure best possible patient outcomes

Requirements

• RVN qualification and RCVS registration
• Dedication to delivering exceptional patient care
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a large clinical team
