About the Role

Market Hall Vets is seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their friendly, close-knit small animal team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This full-time role offers 36 to 40 hours across 4 or 5 days per week, with a share in the 1 in 4 Saturday morning rota, allowing you to balance professional commitment with genuine personal time.

Located in a beautiful rural area of Carmarthenshire, the practice enjoys easy access to beaches and mountains, offering a fantastic backdrop to your working week. The team is dog-friendly and Silver Cat Friendly Clinic accredited, with separate wards and waiting areas designed to keep patients calm and comfortable.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional clinical nursing care across anaesthesia, medical nursing, nurse clinics, radiography, IV placement, and sample collection
• Support patient outcomes in all aspects of clinical work as part of an integrated veterinary team
• Maintain practice standards and ensure the highest quality of care for every patient
• Communicate confidently and compassionately with colleagues, clients, and their pets
• Complete necessary clinical administration and record-keeping
• Contribute to a positive, supportive team environment that values wellbeing and collaboration

Requirements

• Registered Veterinary Nurse qualification
• Confidence and competence in all aspects of clinical nursing work
• Experience or willingness to develop in anaesthesia, medical nursing, and clinical procedures
• All levels of experience considered
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Passion for delivering high-quality patient and client care
