Veterinary Receptionist

About the Role

This is a part-time receptionist position based across three Beaumont Veterinary Group sites in the Oxfordshire area: Kidlington, Headington, and Botley Road. You'll work Saturdays as your main commitment (8 hours per week), with occasional weekday overtime available if you're flexible and keen to support the team further.

Your day-to-day will be the backbone of practice operations: answering phones, booking appointments, welcoming new clients, handling insurance queries, dispensing medications, and processing payments. Most importantly, you'll create a warm and professional experience for every person and pet that walks through the door.

Key Responsibilities

• Answer phones and manage appointment bookings across three sites
• Respond to client enquiries via phone, email, and in person
• Register new clients and maintain accurate records
• Complete insurance documentation
• Dispense medications and process payments
• Provide a professional and empathetic experience to clients and their pets

Requirements

• Previous receptionist experience is essential; veterinary reception experience is an advantage
• Ability to handle potentially emotional or challenging situations with resilience
• Excellent communication skills and genuine empathy for clients
• Outstanding customer service skills and confidence working with the public
• Positive attitude and strong teamwork approach
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database/operating systems
• Driving licence desirable; ability to travel between the three sites is ideal
