No OOH work required. 1 in 5 Saturday morning shift.
This is a permanent, full-time Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon role based at Knox & Devlin Veterinary Centre in Whaley Bridge. The working pattern is 40 hours across 4 or 5 days, with a 1 in 5 Saturday morning shift and no OOH.
The role is split between ops and consults, with a clear surgical bias, so it would suit someone who wants to build on surgical interests while still handling a varied clinical day. The practice also says it can tailor caseloads to individual strengths and career aspirations.
Whaley Bridge offers countryside surroundings on the edge of the Peak District, with direct rail links to Manchester a short walk away. The practice serves a loyal client base in an affluent area and describes itself as supportive, stable, and improvement-focused.
Knox & Devlin Veterinary Centre is an RCVS-accredited General Practice and part of CVS. The team includes 5 vets, 5 nurses, and a PCA, and one vet is currently undertaking a dermatology certificate.
The practice’s facilities include digital x-ray, ultrasound, dental radiography, diathermy equipment, and separate dog and cat wards. It also says it is continuing to expand its clinical capabilities as it grows.
