West Mount Vets serves a loyal client base with five consulting rooms, two operating theatres, a dental suite with dental X-ray, plus digital X-ray and ultrasound. Many team members have been here for years, creating a genuinely supportive environment. The practice sits within CVS Group's network, with access to a RCVS Tier 3 Hospital in Halifax that runs a bespoke 24-hour OOH service, plus two purpose-built branch practices in Mytholmroyd and West Vale, all equipped with modern diagnostic facilities.

The location in Huddersfield is commutable from a wide region including Leeds, Manchester, Bradford, Halifax, and surrounding areas, making it accessible for candidates across West and South Yorkshire, Derbyshire, and Greater Manchester.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead on cases and carry out diagnostic investigations with precision, managing a varied small animal caseload
• Deliver outstanding clinical care with a focus on best practice and continuous improvement
• Support and mentor colleagues across the wider team, fostering a collaborative clinical environment
• Contribute to shaping clinical standards and case discussions within a culture that empowers clinicians to make the best decisions
• Build positive relationships with clients, creating reassuring experiences that establish trust and long-lasting connections
• Engage with the practice's commitment to high clinical standards and evidence-based care

Requirements

• Qualified Veterinary Surgeon with MRCVS registration
• Strong clinical skills and confidence in handling a varied small animal caseload
• Genuine commitment to delivering excellent animal care and client communication
• Team player who enjoys supporting and inspiring colleagues
• Keen to develop further clinical skills and potentially progress into a leadership role
• Part-time hours available upon discussion
